WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATORS (5 positions available)
Facility Operators (currently licensed 3I or higher) for operation and maintenance of a continuously operating industrial wastewater pre-treatment plant, at a transportation maintenance facility in metro Boston. Duties shall include operating, monitoring, testing, and maintaining unit operations, appurtenances, and associated equipment including, without restriction, pumps, oil skimmers, settling tanks, equalization and process tanks, ultrafiltration unit, carbon adsorption units, chemical feed systems, piping, valves, storage tanks, and electrical controls and instrumentation. Operator shall record data and maintain logs of monitoring, testing, and operations and maintenance activities performed, and conduct sampling and laboratory analysis. Operator will also prepare reports to support requirements of the MWRA Sewer Use Discharge Permit for the pretreated wastewater discharge from the Facility. Candidates must be willing to work on-site during the jobsite work hours, which will include rotating 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. The qualified candidate will have 3+ years experience in site assessments, field sampling of soil and groundwater, MCP assessment/response actions, hazardous building materials, brownfields, environmental compliance and permitting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing and interpersonal skills. BS in science or engineering, previous field experience, HAZWOPER 40- hour training required. PROJECT CIVIL ENGINEER
Work within an expanding civil/site design department; projects involve site grading, utilities, storm water management, subdivisions, roadway design, demolition, water and wastewater engineering. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and PE (civil), 5 to 10 years experience, CAD proficient, construction experience a plus. Strong technical and communication skills a must.
Full time resident inspector with 6+ years experience to work on construction sites on various water and wastewater transmission and treatment and landfill closure projects in Massachusetts. Multiple openings for a variety of projects. Requires knowledge of related construction methods, reliability, attention to detail, strong writing and verbal skills and responsiveness to the Clients needs. Candidates must be willing to work on-site during the jobsite work hours, typically 1st shift.
