Army Corps Of Engineers – IDIQ

Londonderry, NH

As a prime consultant under an IDIQ Architect-Engineering Services contract, CDW completed a task order for the installation and testing of a geothermal energy pilot test well at an Army facility in New Hampshire. For this assignment our team obtained requisite permits for the installation of the pilot test well which was originally proposed for 1,500 feet; installed and tested a pilot well; completed a geophysical borehole analysis; and completed geothermal energy potential testing and analysis. Our scientists collected data for geologic, geophysical, hydraulic, and thermal testing with an evaluation for encrusting, scaling, or corrosion that were used to generate preliminary design data. The design data supported an evaluation of the geothermal (Pathfinder Well) energy capability (including sustainable energy yield) versus the heating and cooling requirements of the subject Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) office areas.
